Admission Procedure

  • Prescribed Application Form
    • Cost of the Application Form UG Rs.250/- PG Rs.300/- M.B.A- Rs.500/-
    • Downloading of Application Forms can be downloaded from our website www.sankaracollege.edu.in and can be sent to the college along a DD towards the cost of the form.
  • Original Certificate to be Produced during Admission
    • Transfer Certificate
    • Conduct Certificate
    • Mark Statement(S)
    • Attested Copies of the above certificates
    • Passport Size Photo-2. Photocopies of Certificates need not be enclosed along with the application.

    Admission is subject to the verification of TC, Mark sheets and Degree Certificate by the Director of Collegiate Education and University of Madras and if the Mark Sheets are found to be bogus, admission will be cancelled besides criminal action being taken.

    • Fees

      Fees recommended by the Governments for self Financing Arts and Science College will be applicable for all students of UG and PG. Fees applicable for the I semester is to be paid during the admission. The College does not collect any donation or Capitation Fees if any form.

    • Madras University Students Free Education Programme

      +2 students who will be selected by University of Madras under this scheme are eligible for free admission for UG Courses in the College. They will be exempted from Tuition fee and Hostel Fee. For application form and further details, contact the Public Relations Officer, University of Madras, Centenary Building, Chepauk, and Chennai-5 immediately.

    • Scholarships

      Scholarships extended to SC/ST and Backward Classes by the Government will be available. Merit cum Means scholarships given by the Alumni Association and the Trust will also be available.

    • Hostel Facilities

      Separate Hostel Facilities are available for outstation Men and Women Students. There is vegetarian mess run on the dividing system. Application for admission into the Hostel can be made to the warden only after admission into the college.

    • Canteen

      Canteen Facilities are available inside the College.

  • Bus Facilities

    College Buses provide service to the students at nominal fare. All Girls are expected to commute only by the college bus.

      All students should conform to the General Code of Conduct, discipline and good behaviour.

    • Last Date

      For the Receipt of filled in application form is 10 days from the Publication of +2/university of Madras Degree Results for UG and PG Courses respectively.
